At a press
conference held at Pinewood Studios today, EON Productions announced
that the title of the 22nd James Bond film will be Quantum Of
Solace. The title is taken from the Ian Fleming short story
which appeared in the FOR YOUR EYES ONLY anthology originally
published in 1960.
The plot of
Quantum Of Solace follows on directly from Casino Royale
as James Bond (played for a second time by Daniel Craig) discovers
the truth about Vesper Lynd's betrayal which leads him to an encounter
with Dominic Greene (played by Mathieu Amalric), a ruthless
businessman and member of a mysterious organisation.
Olga Kurylenko who
plays Camille in Quantum of Solace told reporters at the press
conference: “James Bond is after revenge, and Camille is after
revenge and they have slightly different goals, but in the end they
are going to have to collaborate.”
Also appearing is
British Actress Gemma Arterton who plays MI6 agent Fields. Reprising
their roles from Casino Royale are Judi Dench as M, Jeffrey
Wright as Felix Leiter, and Giancarlo Giannini as Mathis.
