On the eve of the 100th anniversary
of the birth of James Bond creator Ian Fleming, the new 007 novel DEVIL
MAY CARE is launched in London with help from the Ministry of Defence.
Author Sebastian Faulks was accompanied by
Model Tuuli Shipster, who features on the cover of the new James Bond
continuation novel DEVIL MAY CARE. Wearing a poppy-red catsuit and
escorted in a speedboat by The Royal Marines, Tuuli carried a specially
commissioned Samsonite case containing the first seven copies of DEVIL MAY
CARE to HMS Exeter, moored near Tower Bridge. The event was very
reminiscent of Daniel
Craig's unveiling as the new James Bond back in October 2005. On board
HMS Exeter they were joined by Ian Fleming's niece Lucy. The book went
on sale in the UK and US on 28th May 2008. |
