Caterina Murino Solange in Casino Royale (2006) |

|
Caterina Murino, the
stunning Italian actress best known for her sizzling performance as
Solange Dimitrios in Casino Royale, was in Jakarta to celebrate
the openings of two new OMEGA Boutiques on March 11th. Ms Murino, who had
already established herself as a star in Italy, France, and Spain, made a
memorable first impression on international film audiences when she first
appeared in Casino Royale (2006) wearing a skimpy green bikini and riding
a white horse.
Her appearance at OMEGA’s two newest boutiques was nearly as memorable.
She was on hand to help the prestigious Swiss watch brand inaugurate the
boutiques – OMEGA’s first in Jakarta – on 11 March 2008. They are located
in Jakarta’s newest upscale shopping centres, Grand Indonesia Shopping
Town and Pacific Place Mall.
Caterina Murino enjoyed her visit to Jakarta and to the openings of the
boutiques which aim to offer easier access to a more complete range of
OMEGA products for Indonesian enthusiasts of superb timepieces and fine
jewellery.
Ms Murino is not worried about the so-called “Bond girl jinx” – roles in
the iconic spy films seem to have shortened some actresses’ careers. The
trilingual star has maintained a busy filming schedule since the release
of Casino Royale and she sees the Bond film as a vehicle which has
enabled her to participate in a wide range of cinematic projects.
At the OMEGA Boutique opening, Ms Murino mentioned that she is
particularly pleased that her Bond-based fame has allowed her to work as a
celebrity ambassador for the African Medical and Research Foundation, a
charity she supports passionately. |
