BOND 25 Filming: Daniel Craig and the
Aston Martin V8 in Whitehall |
|
007 star Daniel Craig,
director Cary Fukunaga and the BOND 25 crew were out and about in
the sunshine today shooting across a number of central London locations,
including Whitehall, where Daniel filmed a scene with a classic Aston
Martin V8, first seen in The Living Daylights (1987). |

the Aston Martin V8 last seen in The Living Daylights
(1987). |

Filming took place in and
around Whitehall which is now presumably the new location of MI6
headquarters following the destruction of the Vauxhall building in
Skyfall (2012). Background shots of the Household Cavalry who are
garrisoned at Hyde Park Barracks (Knightsbridge Barracks) were also
filmed. Daniel Craig posed with members of the Household Cavalry between
takes. |

The filming of BOND 25
continues to be beset with problems. From Daniel Craig's ankle injury,
and an accident at Pinewood Studios which caused damage to the exterior of
the ‘007 Stage’; now comes the news that Grace Jones, whose character May
Day died at the end of A View To A Kill (1985) allegedly walked off
the BOND 25 set moments after arriving to film a cameo scene with
Daniel Craig. The proposed appearance of Grace Jones and the inclusion of
the Aston Martin V8 from The Living Daylights (1987) are links to
Bond's cinematic heritage, and yet more ‘in-jokes’ that are becoming
increasingly more frequent in the Daniel Craig films which successfully
re-booted James Bond's time-line in Casino Royale (2006). |
