photographer Loomis Dean’s photo-session at the back of
Pinewood’s ‘Pool Room’ for LIFE magazine [pictured below]. (right)
Thirty two years later in the ‘Pool Room’, Graham Rye
recreates Shirley’s gilding with a specially prepared
gold-coated paint brush.
